Commercial polished concrete floors in Bunbury and the South West

Polished concrete floor in a commercial space

Clutch Construction polishes and burnishes concrete floors for shops, offices, showrooms and workshops in Bunbury and the South West of Western Australia. We work with owners, builders and developers.

What we do for commercial clients

  • Polished concrete floors for retail, hospitality and office fit-outs.
  • Burnished floors for warehouses and working spaces.
  • Slabs and foundations as part of the build, with the finish done by the same crew.
  • Concrete furniture, such as benchtops and counters, to match the floor.

How it works

You or your builder send us the plans, the floor area and the program. We inspect the slab if it exists, or plan the pour if it is new, and agree the finish, sheen and sealer. For a new build, speaking to us before the pour helps the surface suit the finish.

Commercial floors take more wear than a house floor, so we ask how they will be used: foot traffic, trolleys, forklifts or wet areas. That decides whether polished or burnished is the better fit.

Builders and developers

If you sub out slabs and decorative finishes, send us the scope. One crew from structure to finish means fewer trades on the floor and one contact for the work. We are happy to talk to your builder, architect or designer directly about the specification, and to look at a sample of the finish you want to match.

Before you start

Send us the area, the slab condition if it is existing, and the dates you are working to. We will confirm what the finish needs, how the work fits with other trades and what the floor will need after handover, such as cleaning and sealer upkeep. That avoids surprises once the shop or office is open.

Common questions

Is polished concrete durable enough for a commercial floor?
A properly ground, densified and sealed slab handles foot traffic and light trolleys well. We look at the traffic and the slab before recommending a finish.
Do you work with builders and developers?
Yes. We take slabs and decorative floor finishes as a subcontractor, and can coordinate the pour and the finish.
Polished or burnished for a commercial floor?
Polished suits showrooms, shops and offices where look and depth matter. Burnished suits large working floors. Our comparison page covers the differences.
How long does a floor take?
It depends on the area and the slab. We confirm a program when we quote, because commercial fit-outs often have tight dates.
